So i recently downloaded the new ep from You, Me and Everyone We Know entitled So Young, So Insane. The album starts out with their single, "I Can Get Back Up Now". Musically this is a gorgeous song, at a concert last month, they performed this and blew me away. The use of guitars, basses, drums, keyboard and Ben's wonderful voice brings a smile to anyone's face. For the single they also got Max Bemis (Say Anything) to provide some guest vocals. Another track that got my attention is "A Symptom". This track has a 50s feel to it. I did not see this coming at all. It reminds me of early rock and roll that you almost have to have a slow dance partner to participate. This brings a whole new dimension to their genre of music. Though the rest of the tracks are pop ballads with colorful choruses that match the cd Cover nicely. The Ep has the theme of overcoming obstacles in life, this fits the band because they have been struggling for existence for quite a while. They have no label. They pay for everything from their own pockets. When i recently saw them they had a box for donations. This lack of cash doesn't stop them one bit, they are all about the music. The last two Ep's (including this one) have been released on their myspace for FREE. What a bunch of nice guys. Go and download the new Ep at www.myspace.com/youmeandeveryoneweknow
